Frequently Asked Questions
It’s the product ecological and recyclable?
Yes, if you want to recycle the capsules you can open it after usage, clean it and put in your local plastic recycling container. The plastic they are made of is PP polypropylene. The used coffee powder can be recycled as biodegradable waste.
If your local community doesn’t have a plastic recycling system the capsules can be thrown away as domestic waste and can be burned without polluting. (polypropylene is a plastic that, if burnt correctly in waste disposal systems, can be destroyed without producing toxic products).
Can I use the Nexpod Capsule twice or many times?
The answer is yes! . The Nexpod were in fact originally designed to be a single use product. After testing we discovered that the capsule, if washed out, can be used twice or even three times. This implies opening, cleaning them out of the used coffee powder and putting a new filter inside before refilling them. (don’t’ forget the filter or it will non work properly). Unfortunately the capsule inside the machine is very stressed by high temperature (100 Celsius) and high pressure (to 19 bar) and pierced at the bottom, and the plastic will be deformed from this stress, so after being used two or three times, it will be almost destroyed or not well functioning anymore, and you need a new one.
I want to use the capsules twice, can I order the filters separately?
If you wish, it is possible to use our product more than once, therefore we put more filters in the box than capsules (about 160 filters over 80 capsules). In order to use the NexPod capsule again, you have to clean it out, dry it , and insert a new filter. Using the Nexpod twice is the way to obtain a real cheap Espresso or tea out of your Nespresso machine
If you need more filters let us know that and we can deliver you more with your next order. Extra filters are sold for 4.- CHF for 160 pcs.
Will my machine be damaged from the use of Nexpod?
The answer is No. Your machine will not be damaged from using the Nexpod capsules. However if you don’t insert the filter the pump can be to weak to push the hot water trough the capsule, resulting in stressing the pump and not getting any coffee out. So don’t forget the filter!
A NexPod jammed my Nespresso machine, what can I do?
It can happen that the Capsule is struck in the machine, but you can easily clear the capsule out with your fingers. For incompatible machines see the question: Can I use Nexpod on any Nespresso machine?
Can I use Nexpod on any Nespresso machine?

Nexpod is good for all others Nespresso machines. All the manual loaded machines, and all the older machines.
The Nexpod are fully compatible with the new Citiz Machine, the new De longhi Lattissima, and the espresso is perfect also with those machines.
Is the plastic you use for the Nexpod capsules safe?
Yes absolutely: the capsules are made of Polypropylene, a high quality plastic used even in medical devices and broadly used in the food packaging industry since years. Polypropylene is certified heat resistant, and it doesn’t absolutely release any toxic substances, even if boiled or put in a microwawe, because is made only of hydrogen (of which water is made of) and carbon ( the chemical element of which all living beings, included you, are made of..). Many food containers that millions of adults and babies eat their food out of every day are made of polypropylene.
Does your product respect the Nestlé patents and rights?
We don’t violate any patents of Nespresso- Nestlé nor we use any brands of theirs in an illegal way. We just produce consumables for their machines which is a right guaranteed from the US antitrust laws and the EU commercial laws in order to avoid vertical monopoly.

How long does it take after I have placed my order to receive the capsules at home?
We are shipping with international postal services from a location in Switzerland, in the center of Europe. The average delivery time should be between 5 to 10 working days. But the times depends also on the customs controls which can halt the parcel for customs reason and delay the delivery. When we send the parcel we will inform you via an e-mail and if you do not receive it in 12-15 working days please inform us.
Do I lose the guarantee on my Nespresso machine if I use Nexpod capsules?
The answer is NO, you don’t lose the guarantee on your machine, because you are not manipulating your machine in any way, nor you use your machine in an inappropriate way or are damaging your machine by using NexPod. Even for the service there is no way to tell that a machine has used Nexpod capsules instead the original Nespresso capsules.
How fine /coarse has the coffee to be ground?
With NexPod, in order to get the best espresso, you have to use a coffee grounded at a middle grade, not to fine nor to big grained (coarse) powder. With a medium grade ground you will see that the coffee comes out like from the original capsules. We ground the coffee with a Ditting professional coffee grinder (the one provided from the stores in order to grind the coffe yourself) and we grind the coffee at grade 3.5 -4. Grade, 1 being for very fine , grade 3 –4 being for espresso machines grade 6-8 being for coarse. If you have another grinder just make a couple of tests to find out the perfect grinding grade. If the coffee is grounded very fine, the pump can only let the coffee come out very slowly, The espresso strength will be OK, but the machine will let the coffee come out only very slowly, or even drop by drop but don’t worry, this will not damage the machine.
If the coffee is ground at the right grade you can really press it hard in the capsule and the espresso will come out perfectly, with the right crema like from the original capsules.
